Google profile picture not visible in Drive Connect
As a Salesforce user, I am logged into Drive Connect with my Google user, however, my Google profile picture is not visible.
This occurs when the GSuite admin has disabled the permission for users to set their own profile pictures. Contact your admin to change the Google permissions to allow users to set their own avatar photos. Information on how to do this can be found in the Google article here.
Once this is completed, users must remove their profile picture and re-add it in order for the avatar to display in Drive Connect.
Note: If your Google avatar is not visible in Drive Connect, all features will work normally and the user experience will not be affected. This is a Google feature and has no impact on functionality.
Remove and re-add profile picture
Remove your Gmail profile picture using the steps in this Google article here:
- Under Basic Info, select Photo
- Click Remove
- Re-add the profile picture
You should now be able to see your profile picture throughout Drive Connect’s UI.
