Save a linked Google Drive file to Salesforce
Drive Connect gives users the ability to save linked files to Salesforce directly from the Drive Links component.
Save a File from the Drive Links Component
- Navigate to the Salesforce record that the file is linked to
- Select the dropdown next to the linked file
- Select Save to Salesforce from the dropdown
- If applicable, choose the file format you wish to save
Save a File from the Drive Links Viewer
- Navigate to the Salesforce record that the file is linked to
- Click on the linked file
- Select Save to Salesforce from the header of the viewer
- If applicable, choose the file format you wish to save
Users are able to save to following file types to Salesforce:
- Google Docs file as:

- Microsoft Word (.docx)
- Google Sheets file as:
- PDF Document (.pdf)

- Comma Separated Values (.csv)

Note: There is a 10MB limit for a single file being saved to Salesforce. Google Forms files cannot be saved to Salesforce.
